1. Core Principles

• Submit only genuine proof of goal completion
• Report your progress accurately

• Welcome users of all backgrounds and abilities
• Use inclusive language
• Respect different approaches to goal achievement
• Avoid judgmental comments about others' goals or progress

2. Content Standards

2.1 Appropriate Content

All content must be professional and appropriate for an adult community:

Allowed:

• Progress photos showing fitness transformation
• Celebratory posts about achievements
• Educational content about goal strategies
• Motivational quotes and encouragement

Not Allowed:

• Nudity or sexually explicit content
• Graphic violence or disturbing imagery
• Content promoting illegal activities
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Content that could harm minors

2.2 Profile Guidelines

Your profile represents you in the community:

Profile Pictures Must:

• Be appropriate for all ages
• Clearly represent you (no impersonation)
• Avoid offensive imagery or text
• Pass our automated content moderation

Usernames Should:

• Be unique and memorable
• Avoid offensive language
• Not impersonate others or brands
• Be professional and appropriate

2.3 League-Specific Rules

Leagues may have specific rules set by their captain (if one exists). These rules cannot override community guidelines but might include:

• Proof requirements (automatically enforced by the app when enabled)
• Communication expectations
• Check-in deadlines
• Participation minimums

3. Behavioral Expectations

3.1 Positive Interactions

Do:

• Encourage struggling members
• Share your own challenges openly
• Ask for help when you need it
• Celebrate diversity in goals and methods

Don't:

• Shame others for their progress or lack thereof
• Make comparisons that diminish others
• Spam leagues with unrelated content
• Harass users who decline to join your league

3.2 Healthy Competition

Competition can motivate, but keep it positive:

• Focus on your own improvement
• Congratulate winners graciously
• Learn from those ahead of you
• Help those behind you

3.3 Accountability Without Judgment

• Hold others accountable to their stated goals
• Call out dishonesty respectfully
• Focus on the behavior, not the person
• Remember everyone has different circumstances

4. Safety Guidelines

4.1 Account Security

• LeagueUp is currently restricted to users 18 and older
• Report any accounts you suspect belong to minors
• We will verify age and remove underage accounts
• Help us maintain a safe community while we work on student features

4.2 Personal Safety

• Don't share personal contact information publicly
• Be cautious about revealing location details
• Meet league members in person at your own discretion
• Report users who make you feel unsafe

4.3 Mental Health Awareness

• Goals should enhance wellbeing, not harm it
• Avoid promoting unhealthy behaviors
• Be sensitive to others' mental health struggles
• Encourage professional help when appropriate

5. Prohibited Behaviors

5.1 Zero Tolerance

These behaviors result in immediate suspension:

• Creating fake accounts or bots
• Submitting falsified proof repeatedly
• Harassment or threats
• Being under 18 years old
• Attempting to scam or defraud users

5.2 Unacceptable Conduct

These behaviors lead to warnings or restrictions:

• Spamming leagues or users
• Consistently negative or toxic behavior
• Violating league-specific rules
• Misusing the reporting system
• Creating goals that could harm others

5.3 Content Violations

• Plagiarizing others' progress photos
• Posting others' personal information
• Sharing copyrighted content without permission
• Creating misleading or clickbait content

6. Reporting and Enforcement

6.1 How to Report

If you see something concerning:

1. Use the in-app reporting feature
2. Include specific details and evidence
3. Don't engage with the violator
4. Follow up if the issue persists

6.2 What We Do

When reports are received:

• Review within 24-48 hours
• Take context into account
• Apply consequences fairly
• Notify reporters of outcomes when appropriate

6.3 Consequences

Depending on severity:

• Warning: First-time minor violations
• Content Removal: Inappropriate posts or images
• Shadow Restrictions: Limited visibility for repeat offenders
• Temporary Suspension: Serious violations or repeat offenses
• Permanent Ban: Zero-tolerance violations or ongoing issues

6.4 Appeals

You can appeal enforcement actions:

• Submit appeal within 7 days
• Provide additional context
• One appeal per action
• Decision within 72 hours

7. Age Verification

7.1 Adults Only

• LeagueUp is restricted to users 18 and older
• Age verification is required during signup
• Accounts found to belong to minors will be terminated
• No exceptions to the age requirement

7.2 Reporting Underage Users

• If you suspect a user is under 18, report immediately
• Do not engage with suspected minor accounts
• We take age violations seriously
• Help us maintain an adults-only environment

8. League Captain Responsibilities

If you create or manage a league as captain, you should:

• Enforce community guidelines
• Set clear league expectations and rules
• Configure proof requirements (which are then automatically enforced)
• Handle conflicts fairly
• Remove disruptive members when necessary
• Report serious violations to LeagueUp

9. Wagers and Challenges

9.1 Real Money Transactions

• League entry fees are handled through secure escrow
• All transactions are processed by verified payment partners
• Wagers between users are managed directly by participants

9.2 Fair Play

• Don't manipulate wager outcomes
• Honor the spirit of challenges
• Be transparent about your methods
• Celebrate wins humbly

10. Privacy and Consent

10.1 Respect Privacy

• Ask before sharing others' progress
• Don't screenshot private conversations
• Respect users who choose private profiles
• Honor requests to remove content

10.2 Consent Matters

• Get permission before featuring others
• Respect "no" as a complete answer
• Don't pressure others to share more
• Allow users to set their own boundaries
