💡 How LeagueUp Entry Fees Work

We charge a small platform fee upfront (not the full entry fee amount). If you fail to complete your goals, you agree to pay the full entry fee amount within the league's timeframes.

Platform Fee Structure (what you pay upfront):

$5 Entry Fee: $0.75 platform fee

$10 Entry Fee: $1.00 platform fee

$25 Entry Fee: $2.00 platform fee

$50 Entry Fee: $3.00 platform fee

$100 Entry Fee: $5.00 platform fee

+ Stripe processing fees (2.9% + $0.30) are added to both platform fees and entry fees

Entry Fees vs. Wagers: What's the Difference?

⚪ Wagers (We Don't Touch These)

Personal bets between users

If you fail: Full entry fee amount + Stripe fees within league & app timeframes

Card data: LeagueUp never stores your payment information
Compliance: Full PCI DSS compliance through Stripe infrastructure
Disputes: Handled through Stripe's standard dispute resolution process

Your Rights & Responsibilities

Appeal Process

7-Day Appeal Window

You have 7 days after notification to file an appeal if you believe you were incorrectly marked as failing your commitment. Keep your app notifications enabled to ensure you receive timely notices of any goal failures.

Your Responsibilities

Honest reporting: Provide accurate proof of goal completion
Timely check-ins: Complete check-ins according to your league's schedule
Payment method: Maintain valid payment method for the duration of your commitment
Notifications: Keep app notifications enabled to receive important updates

App Subscriptions

LeagueUp offers optional premium subscriptions for enhanced features and unlimited league participation.

Monthly billing: Subscription fees are separate from entry fees
Cancel anytime: No penalty for cancellation
Active commitments: Entry fee obligations continue even if subscription is cancelled
7-day refund: Subscription fees refundable within 7 days of renewal

Termination & Account Closure

Your account: You may close your account at any time, but active commitments remain binding
Our rights: We may terminate accounts for fraud, violations, or harmful behavior
Outstanding commitments: Account closure does not void financial obligations from active leagues
Data deletion: Email delete@joinleagueup.com to request complete data removal
